“I hope to create unique paintings and cards that capture my love of folk art, geometric designs, make people smile, and yet somehow resonate with our yearning for the transcendent.”
Jennifer has degrees in Math and Education from UVA. She has always loved creating beauty and finding symmetry and repetitive patterns in the world around her. As a life-long learner, Jennifer has followed her love for art and studied calligraphy, black & white film photography, pottery, Japanese flower arranging, ancient Chinese calligraphy, and computer graphics. Jennifer is known for her greeting cards in a folk art style, many featuring mandalas and geometric designs. She loves to hide words in her art, so look closely!
Jennifer lives in Earlysville Virginia with her husband, Scott, and three children. She is a Christian and deeply loves God and His Word. Following God has been a wonderful adventure. Jennifer has been a missionary, business owner, church administrator and missions director, private tutor, overseas foreign language immersion student, graduate school student, a homeschooling mom, a pastor’s wife, and a church planter.
I have lived aboard a floating hospital in West Africa, in a post-communist gray apartment building in breathtaking Slovenia, and with a wonderful family tucked among the coffee bean hills of Costa Rica. I have traveled to Haiti, Honduras, England, and the Canary Islands on short-term missions trips.
I am an entrepreneur and teacher at the core of my being. I enjoy creating art and love to talk deeply about Jesus and the Bible. I hope you enjoy this space and find practical blessings like good recipes and books, beautiful art, scriptural wisdom, and down-to-earth encouragement to become the person God has created you to be.
